White River State Park stretches 250 acres around the banks of the White River in the heart of downtown Indianapolis, reflecting the progress, development, cultural, and environmental changes that we have experienced over the years. In addition to a nature’s wonderland of trails, trees, and waterways, the Park offers world class cultural, education, and recreational attractions. Among these are the Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art, IMAX Theatre, Indiana State Museum, Victory Field, Indianapolis Zoo and White River Gardens, the Lawn at White River State Park and Concert Series, NCAA Hall of Champions Museum, and green spaces including Wishard Slow Food Garden, the River Promenade, lawns, waterfront trails, walkways, and more. Events presented by these and other organizations at the Park provide a series of annual must-dos for Hoosiers and visitors alike, providing diverse reasons to visit the Park all year round – Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter.
